Would this sand sample with CaCo3 tests be from a reef?

i do not think either reef or volcano come into play. You simply have a sandy material with diverse source materials. Some appear to come from igneous bedrock, and some from shelly material. Reefs are not the sole source of shell materials; shelled life forms are quite common outside of a reef environment.
